"Hard Lessons Hardly Learned / Holy Days Wholly Dazed" is the new 2-track release from Bass Clef. It's a follow-up to "111 Angelic MIDI Cascade" which was released earlier in the year by Slip Imprint. The two extended pieces here are in the sprit of Bass Clef's previous release on Open Hand Real Flames, 2018's "(minimum wage)(zero hours)(infinite forest)".

"Holy Days Wholly Dazed" is a tripped-out loveletter to both Osbourne Ruddock and Ricardo Villalobos. Dubby and linear, mycelial and labyrinthine.

"Hard Lessons Hardly Learned" is a near half hour plateaux of bittersweet electro, undercut by booming subby kicks and kept on the rails by tight fingersnaps and a holographic morphing chopped-up break. It also features a (fake) Irama change, which I guess is sort of a shoutout to Bass Clef's Gamelan teacher (hey Malcolm! aka Wall Of Spoon).
